Health Coach Tip - Small But Impactful Habits
Small consistent habits can have a much more significant impact on our health and well being than sporadic, intense activities. Try incorporating these three habits today and reap the benefits – short term and long term!
Sit For a Short Meditation
Just 5 little minutes of sitting down to focus your attention on your breath can help you significantly lower the damaging effects of stress on your body and improve your ability to handle tricky situations. A consistent meditation practice also makes you a more likable person, improves your mood, and even benefits your busy brain.
Drink Some Water
Drinking enough water every day is important for supporting the body’s functions, fighting off cravings, and preventing dry, irritated skin. It’s important to drink water that’s been filtered or that comes from a natural source – not just tap water loaded with chlorine and other harmful chemicals.
Get Out For a Short Walk
Make it a priority to move your body every day. That doesn’t have to mean hitting the gym – a 20 minute walk at lunchtime or on your way home from work can make a huge difference in how you feel. A stroll in fresh air can help clear the mind and de-stress from a long day at work.
