As you probably know, I am a proponent of healthy, clean, wholesome foods that promote wellness throughout the body and particularly in the gut. One of my favorite gut soothers that I frequently prescribe to help soothe and heal the problem guts of my patients is bone broth.
I get it. Cooking for yourself, if you’re not into it, or don’t have the time, can feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be a time-consuming, multi-pan-dirtying affair if you rethink the process a bit. Of all the dietary interventions I suggest to patients who don’t feel well, cutting out gluten often delivers the most rapidly detectable results -- which is why I am such a fan of dumping the stuff. When wheat and other gluten-containing products are taken off the plate of someone who is sensitive to them, within weeks they often experience a noticeable results.
