Some people are born optimistic, while others choose it, learn to embrace it, or, resist it altogether. But in the middle of a pandemic, maintaining optimism may require more effort, even for those who don’t usually struggle.
Here’s a silver lining in the pandemic we’re all stuck in the middle of. With each passing day, we learn more about the COVID-19 virus and how it behaves. That, in turn, inches us closer to winning the battle against it. But we’re still in the early stages, with many more questions than answers.
Living through the COVID-19 era has taught us quite a few lessons, as well as given us the time to contemplate them. Though no one can say for sure what’s next, safe to say things will be different and, in ways we can’t yet imagine, challenging. Going forward, supporting our mental health will be just as important as taking care of our physical health as we make the transition to life after lockdown.
